Candidasa Diving Holidays
Candidasa, an idyllic seaside town on Bali's east coast, is only one hour's drive north of Sanur. This family-friendly destination strikes the perfect balance between inland and water-based activities, with white sand beaches, stunning waterfalls and ancient temples all within easy reach.
There are numerous dive sites a short boat ride from the village, making diving in Candidasa one of the more popular activities in the area, particularly for advanced divers. The best sites are based around three nearby islands, Tepekong, Biaha and Mimpang, known for their challenging currents and lively coral gardens.
Tepekong, the largest and most well-known of the three, is characterised by dramatic underwater topography, with small caves, swim-throughs and vertical coral walls. The island is home to several mola mola cleaning stations, which host these majestic, if not odd-looking, creatures between July and October when cooler waters bring them up to depths of around 25 metres.
If you're considering diving in Candidasa next time you're in Bali, let our expert team help you put together your dream itinerary filled with thrilling dives, jungle treks and cultural activities.
