Lekuan Dive Sites: An Overview
Located just off Lekuan Beach, on the southern side of Bunaken Island, Lekuan 1, 2 and 3 are a series of spectacular dive sites. While each dive site has its own unique draw, they all share a stunning coral wall and are home to a wide array of interesting creatures.
Lekuan 1 is by far the most popular of the Lekuan dive sites and arguably one of the most famous on the island. Suitable for beginner divers, the wall comprises soft and hard corals as well as large brightly-coloured sponges. It's a top spot for macro photographers, with nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses and orangutan crabs.
For divers seeking a challenge, Lekuan 2 is our top choice while diving in Lekuan. Best suited for advanced divers, this site has medium currents and several small caves along the coral wall.
Lekuan 3 is another fantastic beginner site. It has little to no current and a mixture of coral walls and sandy slopes. Similarly to the other sites, this spot has an array of marine life ranging from reef sharks to colourful reef fish.
