Hosting just six guests per week, Astove Island Lodge is a rustic and private island hideaway on Astove Island.
Channelling bohemian island style, the six en suite rooms all surround a central courtyard and offer spacious and airy accommodation. Décor includes stylish polished concrete floors and hand-crafted furniture alongside neutral colours and contemporary fittings.
A spacious dining room and lounge are connected to the bedrooms by covered walkways and overlook the soft white sandy beach. Guests will enjoy attentive service and locally inspired buffet dining, with freshly caught fish a staple on the menu. Meal times are designed to suit the activity schedule and packed lunches can be arranged for those wanting to stay out all day. Sunset drinks are enjoyed most nights on the beach, a great opportunity to share the events of the day with the other guests.
The diving in the area is very special; the dive sites are often unexplored and the sheer volume of fish is incredible, with a range of species from tiny macro life to large pelagics. The recently discovered 'Astove Wall' is quickly garnering a name for itself as a dive of a lifetime; the wall starts at two metres and runs down to 50+ metres, making it a great site for divers of varied qualifications or abilities. It is covered in gorgonian fans - so keep your eyes peeled for a pygmy seahorse! Countless hawksbill and green turtles are practically guaranteed.
Another activity on offer at Astove is fly fishing, with guides on hand to offer constructive advice so that you get the absolute most out of your fishing. Astove is actually home to the largest fly-caught giant trevallies in the world, making Astove Coral Lodge particularly desirable for any keen fly-fishermen.
As well as enjoying the world class diving on offer, an ATV is available to take guests to various points of the island to see the dunes, lagoon and the beaches.
This tiny, wild island is wonderfully off the grid, not to mention Astove Coral Lodge is located on the doorstep of some of the Seychelles best diving.
