When To Travel
All of the holidays we create are completely tailor-made to you
Day 1: Your Tanzania Adventure Begins
It's time to pack your bags and get ready for your East African adventure! The journey will take approximately 13.5 hours from London to Zanzibar via Nairobi on the way. Don't forget a good book and your noise-cancelling headphones to make the trip fly by.
Day 2: Arrive in Pemba
After a short layover in Zanzibar, you'll take a 30-minute domestic flight to Pemba Island. Perfectly perched on silky sand between turquoise water and verdant forest, you'll find your luxury beach resort. Take a little time to rest and refresh in your bungalow before heading to the beach lounge for a fresh juice or cocktail and relax into a sun lounger as the day comes to an end.
Day 3-6: Diving the Near and Far Reefs:
You'll spend the next four days exploring the gin-clear blue wilderness where some of the healthiest reefs in the Indian Ocean await. Fields of cabbage corals, staggering walls and coral gardens offer refuge to a proliferation of fish and the deep blue drop-offs present opportunities to catch sight of giant gorgonian fans, anemone cities and pelagics cruising by.
Day 7: Underwater Safari
Today you have the chance to do something novel and exciting! Equipped with a full face mask and underwater earpiece, you'll embark on a dive like no other. Your dive guide, also donning a full face mask, this one furnished with a microphone, will lead you on an underwater safari, complete with a voiceover straight out of Blue Planet, describing everything you see and the part each creature and coral play in the ecosystem around you.
Day 8: Onward to the Next Spice Island
Today you will be transferred back to the Pemba Airport for your short flight back to Zanzibar. Once you land and collect your bags, you'll be whisked away by a private driver to your relaxed, yet luxurious boutique hotel on the east coast of the island. Surrounded by tropical gardens and sea views, you'll check into your private bungalow before heading to the plunge pool and courtyard for a bit of relaxation as the warm ocean breeze blows over you.
Day 9-11: Lazy day in Zanzibar
Spend the next few days at your leisure. Head out on the boat for more days of diving along the rustic coast or perhaps take a day trip to cultural Old Town, or wind down from your adventurous trip by luxuriating on a lounger, whiling the days away, cocktail in hand.
Day 12: Journey Home
Sadly, the time has come to bid farewell to lovely Tanzania. Your journey home will begin with a private transfer to the Zanzibar Airport, where you will board your flight home, again via Nairobi. Try to catch some zzz's and dream of the day you will return to this sunny piece of paradise.
