The Matachica Beach Resort's spacious bedrooms - ranging from beach front casitas to luxury villas and even a beach mansion - are set in individual private air-conditioned cottages, decorated in an eclectic bohemian style.

At the Jade Spa, treatments include aromatherapy and sea salt and clay massage and beauty therapies, all using natural ingredients from our Belizean jungles and sea.

The beachfront bar lounge, under a soaring thatch roof, incorporates antique Guatemalan pillars, exotic lounge chairs, and a billiard table. The bar has a wide collection of spirits and liqueurs, plus Cuban cigars and ambient music; difficult to tear yourself away from.

The Cinema-Martini Lounge offers free internet access on widescreen Apple computers, and a huge plasma television screening an extensive selection of classic films.

There is no onsite dive centre but the resort can arrange everything for you through a couple of the leading dive shops in town.
