Kamalame Cay Resort

Located just off the largest island in the Bahamas, Andros, this private island resort offers the ultimate getaway for relaxation in luxurious and beautiful surroundings. Reached either by a seaplane ride, directly into the resort (we recommend this!), or a short plane flight to Andros Town from Nassau, it is surprisingly simple to get to from the UK, making this an ideal spot for some sun and diving.

With just 17 rooms in a variety of categories, this is about as far as you can get from the typical high-rise hotels that the Bahamas is famous for. The majority of rooms and suites are located along a stretch of sandy white beach with direct access to the sea and are beautifully decorated and spacious. Most of the rooms come with a golf buggy so you can explore the resort and the rest of the island independently, adding that extra bit of adventure!

When it comes to amenities at the resort, there is no shortfall. An onsite dive centre, though small, provides a personalised and private service so that you can explore the surrounding dive sites at your leisure. As well as the diving, there is snorkelling, kayaking, fishing, tennis, fitness instructors, not to mention the luxury overwater spa. Enjoy a massage while watching the turquoise ocean stir beneath you. The resort will also arrange all sorts of excursions to suit your needs such as a picnic on one of the cays or a kayaking tour through the mangroves.
