Amandira fuses the Sanskrit words for ‘peace’ and ‘intrepid’, and this is exactly what she offers guests – the chance to become an intrepid explorer, diving some of the Indonesian archipelago’s most remote reefs, without foregoing the comfort of a luxury hotel.
The newest addition to the Aman fleet - Amandira - is a traditional Phinisi Schooner, with the ability to explore under motor power, or the romanticism of sail power as you explore the remote reefs and deserted beaches of Eastern Indonesia.
Amandira includes five spacious cabins, each with ensuite bathroom with shower and twin vanities. Two cabins are fitted with King beds, while a third offers a Queen bed, or Twin set up. Two further cabins include bunk beds. The Master cabin, and two Deluxe cabins also feature a living area with sofa, coffee table and writing desk, providing a private retreat for guests.
The expansive teak foredeck is the principal social area for guests, with plenty of sun loungers, and a well-stocked bar, where the crew will be happy to mix up pre-dinner cocktails. Amandira also features an indoor lounge, and a library and entertainment room.
Amandira is designed as a luxury sailing and dive vessel, and the crew of 14 ensure seamless service on-board. A dive master and team will support guests in their exploration of the reefs, and nitrox is available to experienced divers.
Explore the stunning sites of the Komodo National Park, with over 1,200 species of fish and 250 types of coral, and species ranging from the rare mimic octopus, to warm water killer whales. Or head further east, to the stunning Raja Ampat region where the stats get even more impressive - this is one of the most biodiverse marine habitats on the planet. A stay on the stunning Amandira allows divers to explore the impressive marine life of the northern islands, as well as the soft corals of the south.
Amandira offers a seven night Amandira Komodo Expedition, which runs in our summer months, from April to October. From November to February, Amandira sails east to the stunning jungle clad cluster of islands known as Raja Ampat, to offer world class snorkel and dive opportunities on five or seven night expeditions.
The Amandira can be chartered in tandem with her sister vessel, the Amanikan, to offer larger groups and families an unforgettable diving experience in Indonesia.
