The Constance Halaveli Resort in the Maldives has villas either on stilts over a beautiful lagoon or on the pristine beach.
The lagoon on which this resort sits is overwhelmingly tempting. Each and every water villa offers outstanding privacy and comfort. All are designed to represent the shape of Dhonis, the local Maldivian boat. All have lots of space, freestanding baths and a separate shower. Step outside and you have a private sundeck and plunge pool. The furthest of these villas is over 1km from the main island!
The beach villas are all very private and are dotted around the island. Pretty gardens with plunge pools for relaxing in the sun lie at the front while outdoor bathrooms lie to the rear. The two storey beach villas are great for families.
The three restaurants and the spa ensure that both the body and mind are well cared for. The main restaurant, Jahaz, specialises in the best of international cuisine, while Jing serves East/West fusion cuisine in a room over the water. Finally, Meeru is a more relaxed al fresco seafood restaurant.
The Spa de Constance uses natural oils and scrubs created specifically for the resort, and for younger guests the Kuda Club - for 4 to 12 year olds - has a wide range of activities on offer from sand castle-making sessions and stargazing, all overseen by qualified staff.
Divers are well catered for at the TGI dive centre and there are several excellent dive sites within easy reach of the resort.
